Banco ABC Brasil · via FourD

Simplifying decisions in one of the most complex environments in the financial system

Role

Senior Product UX Strategist

Period

Mar–Aug 2026

Context

B2B

Duration

Around 6 months

My role

Senior Product UX Strategist leading discovery, UX strategy, and AI-assisted prototyping on internal products.

Who I worked with

Product, Credit, Risk, Business, and Engineering teams, plus the FourD team.

Executive summary

Problem

Internal credit products accumulated slow decisions and low UX standardization, making analysis harder and increasing the time between proposal and decision.

My responsibility

Discovery, UX strategy, AI-assisted prototyping, and definition of an end-to-end Product Design model for internal products.

Approach

Mapping decision journeys, prioritizing critical flows, and using AI-assisted prototyping to shorten the path between idea, validation, and delivery.

Result

Design and prototype delivery approximately 35% faster and fewer decision meetings, with the model adopted as an internal reference.

01

Context and challenge

Banco ABC Brasil serves corporate and Agribusiness clients with complex credit journeys. Internal Credit Analysis and Risk Rating products required fast, traceable, and consistent decisions across analysts.

02

Evidence and discovery

I ran discovery with analysts and managers to understand decision points, dependencies, and cognitive noise. I mapped journeys and identified where fast prototyping could anticipate decisions.

  • —Interviews with credit and risk analysts.
  • —Mapping of internal decision journeys.
  • —Identification of high cognitive-noise steps.
  • —Definition of speed-gain hypotheses.

03

Decisions and trade-offs

I prioritized decision speed over feature breadth in early cycles. Decisions were aligned with Credit and Risk to ensure prototypes respected governance rules.

04

Service and product vision

I structured an end-to-end Product Design model covering discovery, prototyping, validation, and delivery, connecting Product, Credit, Risk, and Engineering.

05

Solution and prototyping

I used AI-assisted prototyping and executable HTML/CSS prototypes to generate variations quickly, test flows with analysts, validate dashboards and data visualization, and shorten the time between proposal and decision. Prototypes served as a shared reference.

06

Validation

I validated flows with analysts in short cycles and adjusted based on feedback. The model was consolidated once it became an internal reference for new products.

Results

  • Design and prototype delivery approximately 35% faster.

  • Approximately 40% fewer decision meetings.

  • End-to-end Product Design model adopted as an internal reference.

Learnings

I learned that AI-assisted prototyping shortens decisions in B2B products when paired with real analyst context. I now use it to reduce meetings and anticipate alignment.
